Short Bio of Speaker
Greg is the Director of IHHP Asia Pacific, delivering IHHP’s services throughout the region. With a wide range of professional experiences, Greg provides his audience with a unique experience, helping them to understand what is best about themselves, and how to manage themselves and others to peak performance.
With 10 years as an officer in the Australian Army, Greg has an intimate understanding of what it means to lead in difficult circumstances. His greatest benefit from his time in the military is the knowledge that through working effectively together, people will grow increasingly close to one another, become more trusting of one another, and in times of difficulty, they can become so close that they will be willing to give their lives for each other. The meaning of relationships like these is powerful and inspiring, and accessible to all of us.
Moving to the field of management consulting, Greg focused on the human impact of change, and helped businesses through a variety of organisation-wide change programs. Working in 16 countries around the world (in Nth America, Europe, Asia, and South East Asia), Greg has worked in industries such as Financial Services (Insurance, Banking, and IFA Networks), Retail, Travel, Fleet Management, Outsourced Call Centres, Industrial Engineering, Pharmaceutical, and Manufacturing.
Greg’s knowledge in the fields of human development, change and leadership is underscored by a bachelor degree in Human Resource Development (UNE) an MBA from the University of Queensland, Australia, and a Company Directors’ Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. As a committed student of Emotional Intelligence since 1996, Greg is a certified EQ trainer and is accredited to administer and interpret a range of EQ assessment tools. He is a passionate speaker on Emotional Intelligence, and is highly sought after for his thought provoking, research-rich delivery. Greg’s presentations are fun and focus on helping the audience understand the simple but powerful application EI, providing them with concrete tools that they can use immediately, as well as motivating and inspiring people to be at their best, and to live a more wholly rewarding life.

Synopsis of Presentation:
The topic of Emotional Intelligence is gaining great interest in a number of fields, particularly business. It has been recognized in the academic arena for about 20 years, and in business for 10 years since the release in 1995 of Daniel Goleman’s book: “Emotional Intelligence – Why it Can Matter More Than IQ.” Heavily grounded in scientific research, EI (or EQ) provides us with a brand new understanding of human behaviour, and helps us find answers to the most difficult of our personal and business relationships – EI has an application to every area of our lives: work, social, family, and also in the way we perform in non-work environments, particularly in sport. There are now large volumes of research evidence that suggest an urgent need for us to understand and manage our own and others emotions, from fields such as: Psychology, Neuroscience, Mind Body Medicine (Psychoneuroimmunology), Organisational Development, Leadership, and Child Educational Research.
